Thrive Beyond Birth
Kimberly Daniels has been supporting families during the childbearing year for over a decade. As a DONA certified birth doula, her role at the side of hundreds of families has allowed her to understand how crucial it is to have realistic expectations for the journey of parenting as well as the birth itself. Kimberly is a Birthing From Within® Mentor offering childbirth education classes throughout the corridor and is also our local La Leche League Leader supporting new families with breastfeeding through to weaning. As well as being an integral part of the local birth community she is also a mother of two beautiful children who couldn’t be happier to be raising her family in Squamish.
Give yourself the opportunity to create a postpartum plan that will support your transition into parenthood. Understand how to prepare for the early days with a breastfeeding baby. We will share information on what can be helpful for common challenges and how to get breastfeeding off to a good start.
Join Kimberly to explore; how milk is made, how supply is set up, instincts and reflexes in parent and baby, latching and attaching baby at the breast, normal baby behaviour, common breastfeeding challenges and how to cope if they arise, local support resources, setting realistic expectations of the early weeks, and creating clear individual postpartum plans
